T-10 – Euro
2008 - Who’s who? |
|||
For Tournament 2006 we did a little tongue in check comparison of the OGC Tournament hopefuls with teams at the World Cup. With Euro 2008 currently underway lets we did likewise for 2008. Here’s what we came up with; |
|||
| Monovie Asita | Turkey | ||
| His previous forays into near podium places have gone largely unnoticed, and has the potential to head up there yet again. | |||
| Mark Berkley | Czech Republic | ||
| Has a high profile despite concrete achievements, and whilst possessing the ability, he is prone to inconsistency | |||
| Mike Brandon | Germany | ||
| Can play very well, but if he doesn’t he still manages to grind out the results that send him to the far end of the Tournament. | |||
| James Brown | Portugal | ||
| Plays to attack, you expect success and everyone claims he cheats! | |||
| Simon Gray | Croatia | ||
| In some regards still a newcomer, has impressed in the past and there is a sense that his time is coming. | |||
| Luke Greensmith | Romania | ||
| Impressed in qualifying and scored a draw against a big name. Has his own share of Tournament moments, and everyone is slightly unsettled by him. | |||
| Adam May | Netherlands | ||
| Plays to attack and everyone like to watch but doesn’t turn up when it really matters. | |||
| Andrew Townley | Greece | ||
| Nobody expected he would make it to the final last year, and suggestions abound that it was a one-off. Can he do what Greece didn’t and repeat it? | |||
