CODEX SISTERS OF BATTLE UPDATE
This update is designed to incorporate all of the new rules and units to the 2nd
edition Sisters of Battle army list. In effect these rules are simply ‘bolted’ on
to the existing list. The additions in this list effectively bolster the Sisters of
Battle into being a fully fledged standalone army.

Though lacking the training and sophistication of temple assassins, Death Cult Assassins are still deadly and are
able to sneak up on enemy lines before exacting righteous death in the name of the Emperor.. You may take up to
two death cult assassins as a single hero choice.

Arco Flagellants

Arco Flagellants are victim of a cruel from of torture in order for them to repent their sins. Their bodies are
surgically altered and pumped full of drugs sending them into a frenzy during battle. You may have one unit of
Arco Flagellants for every missionary and confessor in the army.

WEAPONS
Multitude of electric whips and flails conferring random attacks
ARMOUR
Their heavily modified bodies are able to withstand much punishment and many bullets will
find themselves striking metal. This gives Arco Flagellants a 5+ save. 
SPECIAL
Immune to psychology, cannot be broken
Dangerous to know: Arco Flagellants count as mischievous (cannot hold objectives or be
transported)
Holy Rage
: Arco Flagellants are frenzied but do not double their attacks
Celestian Squad

The most battle hardened Battle Sisters are gathered into Celestian squads. This is effectively the stepping-stone to
greater feats, they are the elite warriors of the Sisters of Battle armies and are held in awe by their patrons. You
may have one Celestian squad for every two Battle Sisters squads in the army.

OPTIONS
The squad may include a single additional Celestian Sister carrying a bolt pistol, Frag
Grenades and a heavy weapon. This costs 43 points for a Celestian Sister with a heavy bolter,
53 with a heavy flamer and 81 with a multi-melta.

The entire squad may take grenades from the Adeptus Sororitas List. The Sister Superior may

roll. (this is +2 for a veteran)
Sisters Repentia
40 points + 8 per Sister Repentia model
These exiles seek absolution from the Emperor via death on the battlefield. Whilst they are exiles they are heralded
as pilgrims and are held in respect for the pursuit of absolution. Repentia Squad always include a Mistress and
take up a hero choice.

SQUAD
Consists of one Mistress and 4-19 Sisters Repentia
WEAPONS
The Mistress is armed with neural whips (+1 A and –1 to enemy I in cc) as well as a bolt pistol
and frag grenades. The Sisters Repentia are all armed with Eviscerators (+2 str. & I 0 in cc)
ARMOUR
The Mistress is equipped with Power Armour (3+ save), the rest bear no armour at all.
SPECIAL
As long as the Mistress is still alive the Sisters Repentia are immune to psychology and will
never break. In addition they also use the rules for frenzy.
If the Mistress is killed the Sister Repentia suffer hatred towards all enemy, also if they are
accompanied by a priest, the priests sacred rites can now come into effect. However they may
gain some sense of self preservation and can flee under these circumstances. They can only use
the LD of another unit if the Mistress is already dead, and can only be joined by a single priest.
Sisters Repentia counts as Mischievous.
Retributor Squad
84 points
Retributors are battle sisters squads dedicated to a fire support role. They carry a large number of heavy weapons
and thus have limited manoeuvrability compared to other Sister squads. You may not have more Retributor squads
than battle Sisters squads in your army.

Martyr Squad

Martyr’s sacrifice themselves in the name of the Emperor, being willing to blow themselves up to kill heathens to
the Imperial creed. In battle they are utilised to scout ahead of the main army and sabotage enemy supplies and
armour. You may a single Martyr squad for every Frateris Milita band in the army

The squad may take weapons from the Frateris Milita weapons in the list, but they cannot carry
heavy weapons.
SPECIAL
Martyr Squads may infiltrate. They are also so blind in their faith and determined to complete
their task that they follow the rules for frenzy.
Martyr squads can only be joined by Missionary Champions or Preachers. If one of these
characters is alive and leading the unit, they automatically pass tests to restrain frenzy.

The Exorcist is a powerful support vehicle, though its weapons are temperamental, it is a powerful
symbol of the might of the Emperor. You may take one Exorcist for every Battle Sisters squad in the
army.

order to take any Penitent engines. They can be banded into squads of 1-3.
