Treasurers Report October 2007
The September month has certainly been the most active for the Guild, especially in terms of Guild
participation. As you'll see below, contributions have increased massively! Thanks to everyone who has pitched
in, it helps improve our Guild, and make us a more attractive prospect when we finally begin recruitment! Firstly
however I would like to go a little off just coin, and mention Faction. Faction can be earned by speaking to the
Kurzick Komandant in the Guild Hall and fighting in the large PvP battles. These are a lot of fun and you can pick
up Faction very quickly, which can be exchanged for crafting materials, faction skills or most importantly faction
for the Guild itself. You can contribute doses of 5,000 Faction which goes towards a grand Guild total,
representing our dedication and being a sure symbol to new members that we are active in PvP. However Faction
decreases by around 500 per day so it requires a decent number of people adding to it a few times a week in order
to make it count. So get over to the Hall now and start playing in some Alliance battles! These also affect the PvE
map for Cantha, which you'll see when you make it out of Kaineng City.
Back to the issue of the Guild fund, we have acquired to new assets this month being the Priest of
Balthazar, and the Skill Trainer. Both very useful additions however there are issues to be raised around how these
came about. The first Guild vote for how we should spend our money was held a few weeks ago, and all votes
came up that we should hold onto our money
and keep saving, the general consensus being
around acquiring a Skill Trainer. However
just a few days later we reached the total
needed (100 platinum), rather than wait for up
to 3 weeks for the process of voting for etc
our Guild Leader and both Officers held an
emergency vote to acquire the Skill Trainer
immediately, the result being unanimously in
favour for. The Priest however was an
independent purchase for 10 platinum by
Guild Leader Andrew Townley. Whilst this is an appreciated addition, it is strongly urged that players do not
purchase Guild Hall additions separately and that we represent as much as the Guild as possible by holding
separate participatory votes.

Contributions over September have risen massively compared to the August donation figures....
The primary aim of the treasury of course, is to encourage member participation by contributing PvE
earnings to the guild treasury, thereby improving the experience for all members with the increase in amenities
available in the Guild Hall. Therefore decisions need to be made as to what to acquire next, this will be done by
every fortnight asking whether or not the Guild should purchase a new tradesmen etc for the Guild Hall at the
present moment in time via a vote open for 3 days on OGChat. If the vote is No then another vote is taken 2
weeks later, or rather the first and third Fridays of every month. If the vote is Yes then a list of all available
purchases will be open for a vote, lasting 3 days.
