Senior Election Results – June 2006     The Fifth Senior Elections have yielded some surprise results. For the first time since the Senior positions began, Luke Greensmith has been voted out in a crushing defeat, having never held less than 63% of the voters support, he fell by half to 34% in the election. A drop in activity, including articles for the website has drawn the votes to more prominent OGC members. Simon Gray steps back into the role after being voted out last November, a spur of activity in Leeds and communication with OGC in the NW has meant Simon has regained 56% of peoples votes, although this is still a lot to build on considering he secured 84% in elections 2 years ago. Andrew Townley is also re-elected, obtaining a record 88% of voter confidence, meaning that despite criticism raised about the website, he’s still very much the man people want to see running thins from the top. James Brown’s popularity has also reached a new peak, a nod to his Tournament successes and running of events in recent months, one wonders how well Brown would do if he really pushed for seniorship.  The coming term for the Seniors kicks off with our most subscribed Tournament yet and the final send off for our Ormskirk venue. Club Captain Mike Brandon also promises to make sure the Seniors have a lot more to be involved in, recent talks with Games Workshop heads means that the Seniors will be on their way to conferences. Following the Tournament the first duties will be organising going to Gamesday in September and a flurry of games in August.
